The Living Nativity of Poggio San Marcello is a tradition that dates back to 1990, when some teachers from the local elementary school, with the support of the community, decided to bring this historical representation to life.
Over the years, the event has grown in participation and popularity, involving over 150 participants who recreate ancient trades and biblical scenes along the charming streets of the medieval village. During the performances, visitors can immerse themselves in a bygone atmosphere, meeting artisans, Roman soldiers, dancers, and, of course, the Nativity scene with real animals.
