The GORONI Agricultural and Wine Estate is situated in the Marche region in Poggio S. Marcello, the smallest Municipality in the Province of Ancona, at 410 meters above sea level. The Estate is located in a context deeply rooted in the Upper Vallesina territory and represents its typical rural traditions.

The origin of the GORONI Estate dates back to 1870, when Paolo GORONI, grandfather of the current owner who shares the same name, founded the agricultural business. Since 2002, the company has benefited from the expertise of the young sons, Renato and Riccardo Goroni, who since 2007 hold degrees in Agricultural Science and Technology and since 2010 hold degrees in Viticulture and Enology, having graduated from the Polytechnic University of Marche.

The current total agricultural area is approximately 55 hectares, of which 20 are dedicated to vineyards, 25 to arable crops, 8 to walnut groves, and 2 to olive groves. The vineyards and olive groves are particularly well-suited to this area, due to the nature of the soil and its exposure.

The varieties cultivated are Verdicchio, Trebbiano, and Sauvignon (white grapes), Montepulciano and Sangiovese (red grapes). The olive varieties cultivated are Frantoio, Raggia, and Raggiola. Harvesting methods are manual, for both grapes and olives.

Wine productions include: Verdicchio DOC, DOC Classico, Rosso Piceno DOC, and Rosso Conero. The Estate also produces Grappas and Extra Virgin Olive Oil.

Goroni has maintained respect for traditions over time, reconciling them with sound agronomic and enological practices and measures for low environmental impact. In doing so, it aims to achieve a blend of history, reality, and product quality.

Goroni distinguishes itself through its ability to merge traditional agricultural practices with a future-oriented corporate vision, positioning itself as a significant player in the regional agri-food sector. Its full name, “Azienda Agraria e Vitivinicola GORONI,” is not merely a description but an assertion of its fundamental operational identity. The explicit inclusion of both terms, “Agraria” (agricultural) and “Vitivinicola” (pertaining to wine production), indicates an integrated business model that goes beyond the simple management of a vineyard or a farm. This dual nature allows Goroni to fully exploit the varied agricultural potential of the Marche region, adopting a comprehensive approach to land management and product diversification. Such an integrated model can lead to greater efficiency in resource use and increased business resilience, as the company is not solely dependent on a single crop or product category.
